How to read e-books from your Palm Pilot or Mobile Phone

The term e-book is short for electronic book.  Many books are published in e-book form for people who are on the go and want to be able to read when they have time but don't want to carry around bulky books.

Laptops, Palm Pilots, and Mobile Phones have all developed technology to let the user view text material.  With a simple Palm Pilot you can easily carry 100 books around with you in the palm of your hand.  Mobile phones have already been perfecting the technology to hold just as many as the Palm Pilots.

Check your personal organizer device and you just might be surprised how much it can carry for you and how easy having your favorite new book with you really is.

While purchasing a e-book please be aware of the file version that you are ordering.  Most e-books are published in the pdf file type, however some stores will let you choose the file type that is easiest to use with your device.

PDF files can easily be viewed on laptops, computers, and Palm Pilots.

To view a e-book you first need a viewer or reader.  Several links have been given to the right where you can download these programs for free depending on what device you have.  If you can not find your device listed please visit the website of the maker of your device or do a web search for your specific device.

Some readers require the e-book to be in a special file format that is different than PDF.  In that case you will need a converter for the specific file type you need.  Do a simple web search using keywords such as example ".pdf to .html converter".  This will give you a list of websites that offer converters, most of them free, for your file type.

Once you have the file in the correct file format for your device you simply follow the upload directions for your device and enjoy your book downloads at any time.

PLEASE NOTE: There are many free downloads for e-books and these books are noted as free.  Please DO NOT share ebooks that are soldThis takes away well needed funds from struggling and first time authors such as Katharina Katt.
